At Kip McGrath Selby we help children aged five and upwards with all levels of Maths and English.
Maths tuition at Kip McGrath Selby
Maths tuition. Maths revision. KS1 maths, KS2 maths, KS3 maths and GCSE maths. All the things you see your child coping with (or maybe not). It’s all very different from the maths tuition you got at school.
- Maybe you hated maths or struggled with it yourself.
- You understand the stress and anguish your child is going through when they don’t get ‘that’ maths concept they need to progress to the next level.
- You may try to help but fear you’re making things worse because you can’t quite explain it.
We can help!
Maths tuition at Kip McGrath Selby: we only employ fully qualified, experienced maths teachers to support your child’s maths tuition.
For the best Maths Tuition in Selby, we carry out an initial maths assessment – undertaken by a qualified teacher which can take from 30 to 60 minutes. Your child will be made to feel comfortable and relaxed in a ‘non test’ environment. We can identify any gaps in learning or strengths and weaknesses in maths and advise you accordingly.
An individual learning programme will be created just for your child and will form the basis of our lessons each week. We will focus on the key areas that need to be improved to be able to move on to more difficult maths concepts at a pace that suits your child’s learning needs. A little homework will be provided each week to reinforce the lesson being taught. We encourage parents not to assist your child with this to ensure that we are fully aware of progress being made.
At Kip McGrath Selby, our teachers offer maths tuition from KS1 maths through to GCSE maths and of course maths revision and exam preparation. We also assist others who are having trouble in just one area of maths. And YES, we do teach tables!

…the Kip McGrath Selby maths tutoring programme is the answer to your child’s maths troubles
Kip McGrath Selby Maths Tuition
Our curriculum covers all the maths concepts that your child will be expected to learn in school from the age of five years old. Your child can start anywhere within the Kip McGrath Selby programme at exactly the level suited to their current ability and knowledge.
They don’t need to be with us all the way through school. You may identify that they’re struggling with maths at any key stage, level or age. Perhaps they just need some extra maths revision for exams. They may be doing well in maths but stumble over just one topic or concept. We can help with that too.
Our programme is carefully designed. Your child will work on their independent learning plan, developed after their initial assessment. As they grow in their maths ability and confidence, they become less reliant on us. For Kip McGrath Selby, your child is successful when they’re working well at the level they should be at for their own ability, potential and age.
We know you want to do the very best for your child. To help them achieve every possible advantage, to make their lives easier as they grow up. Maths is one of those ‘gateway’ subjects everyone needs to have a successful career.
Kip McGrath Selby Education Centre offers maths tuition for children aged 5-18 years. We really do only employ fully qualified, experienced maths teachers.
